and Abdulkarim Adisa Personal Assistant all of Kogi State university Ayingba. These appointments were made in line with Governor Yahaya Bello's innovative vision to make Kogi State an illustrious pioneer of youth engagement and empowerment for their improved well-being.
The appointment is in line with the New Direction agenda of Governor Yahaya Bello to reduce unemployment in the state and increase youth participation in governance This is very thrilling to us. In a country characterized by loud talks of youth engagement with scarce instances of its implementation, the potentials which could accrue from creative agility which is typical of youths have hardly been efficiently explored over the years; yet like a bolt from the blue, a true leader, a father and a mentor has emerged. He has taken the wheel and is now setting the pace.
This innovation which carries the youths along, if adopted in other states of the country, would
bridge existing political barriers caused by age difference. It would cushion silent animosities
which overpowered youths nurse against the older generation of leaders. Youths would be more
agreeable and cooperative. This would give rise to a more productive economy devoid of idle
youths who are prone to social deviance.
Signed.
Beanard Ajewole.
